Tofield Chapter 19

Wow think week seemed the most normal things have gone in a while. Gave me a chance to come back, realize what needs to happen.

Tuesday

Well we emailed and then had lunch. Went to Roni's with Sis Roughley and Bro Gillis. Had a great lesson. She really understands that her getting an answer depends on her. She understands that She needs to listen to and pray about the Book of Mormon. If it is true, then everything else we teach is true. We then went to Chipman to help Sis Stennes. We then drove to Ryley to help and have supper with Svenson's. It was pretty good. The service only took like two minutes, but hey they needed the help. :)

Wednesday

Veg Day. Went to veg. Met with Sis Yost and Gillespie. We stopped by Chuck for a minute. Went to Shirley with Sis Bates. Moki was actually there for the lesson which was good. We were sure that she was going to come to church this week. We had supper with Chuck and Mary. We then had a lesson with Roy. That was weird. Roy told us that he isn't understanding the Book of Mormon. Last I knew they were ready for baptism, except for they have only come to church once and aren't married, but living together. Apparently there is more than we thought. :P After that we went to Stennes and helped out for a little.

Thursday

Well we had District Meeting. First District Meeting as District Leader. We had it in Tofield, but it wasn't that good. We are just going to stick with Lamont. It works better for all of us. We had lunch. We then went and helped at Busy B. After that we went and Mowed Roni's Lawn. It needed it bad. We did it backwards, but I mowed and then when Elder Laulu was weed wacking I was talking to Roni. We were able to have a really good conversation about things. It is going to be hard to say goodbye to Roni. She is super solid. After that we had supper then went to Trent and Kristina's.

Friday

We did studies, lunch, and then Weekly Planning. It was the best one in a while. We then did Mormon.org time. We had supper. We then went to Ryley and met with McCauley's. That was wild. We then set up with Sis Godin for next Thursday.

Saturday

Veg Day. We went to Veg. We visited with Sis Gillespie again. She was doing much better this time. We then went to Thompsons and met with Sis Olsen. We had supper with Chuck and Mary. It felt a little awkward. It was their anniversary. It was strange, but pretty cool. It feels like home away from home there.

Sunday

We had church. No one that we thought was going to come did. We did end up having a sort of Gospel Principles. It was us, Bro Stothart, Katelyn, and the youth. We had lunch/ supper with Kastendiecks and Lue. Later that night we went to Gillis to drop off a set of scriptures for their friends. Super golden potentials.

Monday

Pday. We mostly just hung around. Got laundry done. Went to the church. Elder Laulu was playing basketball for a little, while I was playing piano. Dante came and we were playing with him for a bit. We had supper with Hillyer and stayed for FHE and played some games with them.

Well that was our week. Not much exciting really happened. We'll see what this week is like. :)

Well I do have to play some significant catch up with this email. I'm probably not going to remember much of the small details. The last couple of weeks have been crazy, as most of you already know. You just have to keep going on. I think its in the Joseph Smith movie, might be somewhere in the scriptures. "The Lord calls us in our weakness, so he can lift us higher." Well the latest news is that I'm staying in Tofield and I'm District Leader. :) It will be an adventure.

Tuesday
Well we came and emailed. We had lunch. I don't remember what we did that day. We went to Hillyer's for supper and us and Pres Hillyer were picked up by Bro Cahoon and Bro Hoag to go help Bro Pufong move in Veg. It was a fun night. The Branch presidency and the missionaries. It was a ton of fun.

Wednesday

Veg day

When we got to Veg we went and visited Sis Gillespie. We then talked with Soren. We were going to go to Shirley with Pres Hillyer, but she wasn't there. We tried by some others with him and ended up at Thompsons. Had a pretty good lesson there. Best in a while. We then went out to Stennes and helped them with their landscaping. We helped them build a rock wall around their garden with chunks of broken concrete. It was fun.

Thursday

Well that morning was crazy. We got up and ran to Sherwood Park, so I could call home. We knew we were going to be late for District Meeting, but it ended up being in Sherwood Park anyways. So we weren't too late. We had lunch at Panda Express. We then helped Fort Skat with some service. We had supper with Chutes and then visited with Fishers.

Friday

We got up and drove to Veg to help Chuck help some people move. Well that was most of the morning. They are really nice people. It was interesting, because they are French Canadian from Quebec, so communication was low. We got everything covered. We had to pick up some things from Walmart. Right after we got out is when President Manion called. We drove to the Catholic school. They quietest part of town that I know of. Took some time and then tried formers. We had supper with Chuck and Mary.

Saturday

We didn't really do a whole lot. We had weekly planning. We had supper at Gillis' and then helped them in their garden. Got to talk with Sis Crump for a while too.

Sunday

Church was incredible. I love the people in this branch. They really care. We had studies and then went to Kastendiecks for supper.

Monday

Played basketball in the morning. Had lunch at Kastendiecks and then went to look around the Acreage. We came back and had supper with Fishers. Then went and met with Carol.

Tuesday

We emailed then had lunch. We met with Ronnie. She is so great. It was a really good lesson. She is just willing to learn so much. We also were able to download the gospel library app for her to listen to the scriptures. That was rough. It's a learning experience for all of us. We went home and made some phone calls then had supper. We went out to Trent and Khristina's that night.

Wednesday

Veg day. Met with Sis Yost. We then went and met with Meggie then Shirley with Pres Hillyer. Both of those lessons went really well. We'll see if they will keep their commitments. We had supper and stopped by some people. We then drove to Sherwood Park to call home again. We should have just stayed the night, but we drove home instead.

Thursday

Today was full of meetings. We got up and went to the mission home so I could go to the Future Leadership Training Meeting. That was interesting. Get to see some old friends. :) We then drove to Sherwood Park Chapel for Zone Lunch. We then had ZTM. After that we went on exchanges and drove back to the mission home so I could Skype. That was a lot of fun. It helped me out a lot more that I thought it would. We then drove to Fort Skat and had supper. We then met with Alex.

Friday

Well Really didn't do a whole lot. We stopped by some people. We had lunch and stopped by some more people. We then drove out to Chipman later to exchange back. We then went home to have supper. We were just having some food and Jannell called us. She is a member in Rutherford. She and her sister were going to come out. So we went to Tilly's with them. It was a fun night.

Saturday

Well we helped out with the Hoag roofing project. Hoag's were re-shingling their roof. It was lot of hard work and fun. I have worked on two roofs on my mission. Two more than I even wanted to do. :) We worked on it all day. We came home, stopped by Sis Roughley's to pick some stuff up and then went home. Didn't do much that night.

Sunday

Well we had Branch Council. We then had Church. We usually are at the door of the chapel handing out programs. Well I'm looking outside watching people come in. I see this couple and I just look and think I should know them, but their not in the branch. Two seconds later I see President and Sister Manion. The brought Elder and Sister Hunt with them to the branch since they are the couple going to serve in Yellowknife. They haven't ever been in a branch and wanted to know what it is like. It was quite a shock to see them all there. They did leave after sacrament though. We didn't have anyone at church like we thought we were going to. We came home after and had lunch and then studies. We went to Sis Beck's for supper with the Chutes and Sis Roughley. We tried by some people and that was the night.

Monday

Well it was pretty laid back. We were going to go into Sherwood Park, but didn't. Fort Skat decided not to go, so neither did we. We just hung around for a while. We played basketball later with some of the kids. We then had supper and finished planning what we hadn't.

Well that has been my life the past couple of weeks. I'm ready to get back to normal missionary life....If that exists. :)

Tofield Chapter 16

I really can't say much else other than what we did this week.

Tuesday

After email and lunch we went out to Stennes and helped them out for a bit. Well it was more like the rest of the night. We got there and they weren't there, but I called them and they told us what to do. We ended up having supper with them and had a good time.

Wednesday

Veg day. We did language and then lunch. We visited with sis Gillespie. She might be going to the temple soon. :) We went and talked with Soren for a bit. Meggie wasn't home. We went to Shirley. That lesson could have been better. We then had supper and went to Thompson's.

Thursday

We had district meeting. We had lunch at Kelly's. We won't be able to go there much longer. They are done in about 3 weeks. It's sad. We then went on exchanges. I was in Fort Skat. The start was interesting. We left from Lamont and got to Fort Skat. We went to get out and do service/ play games with seniors. Well when we got out of the car I felt a phone in my pocket. Well Elder Mugerian had their phone. I had the tofield phone. Well I was going through about every possible solution to get the phone back. Well we hadn't been there for very long and they come walking through the door. That was resolved quickly. We played some games with them. After we tried some potentials. We had supper with the other elders. We then went to the Farmers' market to try and talk with people. We didn't have much time though. We had a lesson with Moses. He is a super guy and is so ready for the gospel. We then had a lesson with Alex.

Friday

Well we had our interview. We had lunch and then exchanged back. We came home and did some weekly planning. We went and helped take down at the Farmer's market in Tofield. We then had supper with Svenson's. We then came home and finished some planning

Saturday

We had language lunch then went to Veg. We visited with Sis Yost for a bit. We stopped by formers and potentials. We had supper. pretty much all of our plans fell through. We went out to Stennes' again that night to visit them.

Sunday

We had branch council. We then had church. We tried by some potentials. We then had supper at Hoag's. That was a great time out there. I really had fun. They are such great and understanding people. We then went and talked with Murray. We apparently are never going back. Elder Laulu doesn't like him.

Monday

Well we had pday. We did what we could around here and then we went in to Sherwood park and met up with some other missionaries and played around. As we were coming back we stopped at Cahoon's for supper and then went and helped Tiedemann's move in. We then went and met with President Manion. After that we went to Hillyer's to talk with them.

It has been a never ending roller coaster lately. I'm so grateful for my friends and family. Even though I'm up here in Canada, I can still feel their love and support everyday. Thank you for all of the prayers and love.
